Note the time change!
COMMUNION TIMES OUTSIDE OF MASS will be held on Saturday evenings at 5:15 p.m. and Sunday Mornings at 9:30 a.m., in front of the church. We are eliminating the 11:00 a.m. time since no one seems to come at that time.
Please Note: We will not be accepting any new Mass intentions until January of 2021.
Weekend Mass intentions/requests are limited to 3 masses per individual/family per year. Please keep this in mind. Let us be kind and considerate of others and allow as many as possible in our parish family to be able to request a celebration of Mass and remember that the value of a Mass is infinite no matter when it is celebrated.
Saint Matthew Masses at 5:30 pm on Saturday and 10:30 am on Sunday will continue for the faithful. Weather permitting Masses will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery where we are not limited to the number in attendance. We will use a ‘bring your own lawn chair’ policy. If you are not sure if a Mass will be held at the church or Oak Grove Cemetery, a notice will be placed on the Saint Matthew Facebook page and the Saint Matthew webpage. Communion will be distributed AFTER mass in the Gather Space on Saturdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 12 noon.

HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY!
For everything, Dad, we thank you…
Always coming through,
Teaching us everyday,
Helping us on our way,
Encouraging us in all we do,
Remaining strong, steady, and true!
All fathers, grandfathers, Godfathers and father figures: Have a blessed and peaceful FATHERS’ DAY.
Father Jozef, Sister Linda & parish staff
We would like to extend an invitation to all Fathers and Father figures in our parish to receive a small token of our appreciation for Fathers’ Day. If you were not able to attend mass this weekend, please stop by the parish office this week for your ‘Saint Joseph’ stylus pen.
REPAIRS TO THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH – Raimondo, INC
has been working for several weeks now to do the flashing,
brownstone, brick mortar window stone and additional
brick mortar joint repairs on the Church exterior.
Additional and unexpected repairs – The metal cladding
that covers the wooden frame around each bell tower
vent opening and the sill for each opening must be replaced.
The cladding was improperly installed years ago
and has likely contributed to the extensive water damage
to the interior of the bell tower. Replacement of the cladding
and damaged wood is necessary to address the water
intrusion into the bell tower. This is going to cost us
an additional $12,400.00 dollars but it is necessary to do
this now while we have the workers on task. (p.s.) Brian
Shura who has been overseeing the whole project helped me to
write this up so that you have a true picture of what the repairs
actually include)
FINANCE COUNCIL MEETING – A meeting of the Finance Council will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m.
(following the 6:00 p.m. Mass if members should choose to come) in the Church Basement using Social distancing.
Please remember to wear your mask.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TEXT BOOKS FOR GRADE SCHOOL STUDENTS are available in the vestibule of the
Church. Please stop by to pick up your son/daughters book and complete the last seven chapters. Also, please return
your child’s book by the end of July so that we are able to determine the number of books to order for the fall.
